Live Baccarat is designed to put the action in clear view and make every round feel engaging from the moment the cards hit the table. A multi-camera setup streams HD video directly to your device, so you can follow the game from several angles as each hand develops. Close shots of the cards, wider table views and smooth transitions all work together to recreate the atmosphere of a real casino floor.
Every table is run by experienced live dealers who know how to keep the session moving while staying connected with online players. When you join a table, the dealer can greet you and help answer questions during the game. You can contact them through the built-in chat, and their replies are delivered through clear live audio for a more natural experience.
Choose the device that suits you best. Live Baccarat runs on PC and Mac desktops, laptops and a wide range of mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad and many popular Android models. The 888casino platform adjusts the stream automatically based on your device, so you can focus on the game instead of dealing with setup options.
Live Baccarat continues to rank among the most appealing live casino table games you can play online. Your seat is ready, and the next hand can begin whenever you are.
HOW TO PLAY
Live Baccarat follows the same format as classic Baccarat. The objective is to predict whether the Player hand or the Banker hand will finish closer to 9. The game uses eight standard 52-card decks, and before each round begins you place your wager on the side you believe will win. You may also back the Banker or choose a Tie bet if you expect both hands to finish with the same value. The rules are straightforward, but the different betting options and payout possibilities keep the game interesting for every type of player.
RULES
The game is presented by a live dealer and played with eight regular 52-card decks. Card values are assigned as follows:
Aces carry the lowest value and count as 1 point.
Cards from 2 through 9 are worth their face value.
10s and face cards, including jacks, queens and kings, all count as 0.
In the main Baccarat game, only the numerical value of each card matters. The suit of the card, whether hearts, spades, clubs or diamonds, has no effect on the result.
Before the cards are dealt, you must decide whether to bet on the Player or the Banker to win the round by finishing with a value closest to 9. You may also place a Tie bet if you think both hands will end with exactly the same total.
The dealer starts the round by giving two cards to the Player hand and two cards to the Banker hand.
Baccarat always features two competing hands: one for the Player and one for the Banker.
If both hands finish with the same value, the round ends as a tie. In that case, the Tie bet wins, while wagers on Player and Banker are returned.
Hand totals are calculated by removing the tens digit from any total above 9. For example, a 7 and a 9 make 16, but the Baccarat value is 6. In the same way, a face card combined with a 9 results in a total of 9.
If either the Player or the Banker receives a two-card total of 8 or 9, known as a natural, no extra cards are dealt to either hand.
If both the Player and Banker begin with totals from 0 to 7, the Third Card Rule is used to decide whether one or both hands receive another card. The Player hand is always evaluated first.
PLAYER’S INITIAL TWO-CARD HAND
| 0-1-2-3-4-5 | Player draws a third card |
| 6-7 | Player stands |
| 8-9 (a “natural”) | No third card to either hand |
If the Player stands on 6 or 7, a Banker total of 3, 4 or 5 must draw, while a Banker total of 6 must stand. The hand that ends nearest to 9 wins the round.
Place Bets
The BET LIMITS panel shows the total minimum and maximum stakes allowed at the table.
If you try to place a wager above the permitted limit, an on-screen message will notify you. If your stake is below the minimum when betting time expires, that wager will be declined. If you place several bets and only some fall under the minimum, only those bets will be rejected.
To take part in the game, your balance must be high enough to cover the bets you choose. Your current BALANCE is visible on screen at all times.
The TRAFFIC LIGHTS show the current stage of the round, letting you know when betting is open with a GREEN light, when time is running short with a YELLOW light, and when betting has closed with a RED light.
